Application Process

3. Send a hard copy of the application form with self-attested documents to the Director Principal, GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh - 160030 by Registered Post or by hand.
4. Mention the post applied for on the envelope.
5. Only candidates who applied online and submitted the hard copy will be considered.

Eligibility Criteria

As per NMC/MCI norms for Assistant Professors in respective departments. Candidates must possess a basic university qualification included in one of the schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, and be registered with the Medical Council.

• Three years of teaching experience as Lecturer/Registrar/Senior Resident/Demonstrator/Tutor in a recognized medical institution after post-graduation.
• Subject-specific qualifications are provided in the detailed notification.

Age Limit

• UR: 40 years
• OBC: 43 years
• SC: 37 years

Reservation Details

Reservation of posts will be as per Chandigarh Administration rules.

• OBC candidates must have valid OBC certificate issued by UT Chandigarh authority.
• OBC certificates from other states will not be valid for Chandigarh.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on interview and eligibility verification.
• Eligible candidates and interview dates will be displayed on the official website.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Tenure of Post

Appointments will be made on contract basis initially for one year, extendable annually up to five years or till regular incumbents join, whichever is earlier.
