Eligibility Criteria

Professor

• Minimum three years as Associate Professor in a recognized medical institution.
• At least two research publications post Associate Professor, among the first three authors.
• Completion of Basic Course in Biomedical Research and Basic Course in Medical Education.
• MBBS and additional qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council.

Associate Professor

• Minimum four years as Assistant Professor or five years for direct appointees in Government institutions.
• At least two research publications post Assistant Professor, among the first three authors.
• Completion of Basic Courses in Biomedical Research and Medical Education is mandatory.
• MBBS and additional qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council.

Assistant Professor

• At least one year experience as Senior Resident or equivalent experience as Tutor/Demonstrator.
• Non-teaching Consultants/Specialists with postgraduate medical degree and minimum two years experience in a 220-bedded Government Hospital also eligible.
• MBBS and postgraduate qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council.

Senior Resident

• Postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) or M.Sc with Ph.D in the relevant medical subjects.
• Must be registered with Telangana State Medical Council.

Non-Medical Faculty (Assistant Professors)

• Master of Science and Ph.D in relevant medical subjects (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology).

Age Limit

• Professors / Associate Professors / Assistant Professors: Below 69 years as on 31 March 2025.
• Senior Residents: Upper age limit 45 years.
• For the subjects of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, and Community Medicine, the upper age limit is 50 years.

Reservation Details

• Rule of reservation as per Telangana Government norms will be followed.
• For Assistant Professors, preference will be given to local candidates of Multi-Zone II. If local candidates are unavailable, others will be considered.
• Professors and Associate Professors belong to the state cadre.
