Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess the prescribed full-time educational qualifications such as Engineering Degree, Diploma, MBA, CA, CMA, LLB, MBBS or equivalent, as applicable to the respective post. Only qualifications acquired on or before the cut-off date of 01 December 2025 will be considered.

Required post-qualification experience varies from NIL to 26 years depending on the post and grade. Experience must be acquired after obtaining the essential minimum qualification.

Only full-time courses are accepted. Part-time or correspondence courses are not considered, except in limited cases specified for internal candidates.

Age Relaxation Applicable as per Government of India rules for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and internal candidates, subject to prescribed limits.

Reservation Details

  • PwBD categories include VH, LV, HH, OH and PD

Application Process

  1. Candidates must apply online through the GRSE Career portal.
  2. Upload scanned copies of documents supporting age, qualification, experience, caste and other eligibility criteria.
  3. Take a printout of the auto-generated application form, sign it at designated places and attach self-attested copies of documents.
  4. Send the completed application by ordinary post to:

Selection Process

  • For all posts except Assistant Manager: Selection will be through Interview only.
  • For Assistant Manager posts: Selection will consist of a Written Test followed by an Interview.
  • Written Test will be objective type, bilingual (English & Hindi), with a total of 85 marks.
  • Interview will carry 15 marks. Candidates must qualify separately in both stages.

Service Bond and Other Conditions

Candidates appointed as Assistant Manager (E-1) will be required to execute a Service Agreement Bond to serve GRSE for a minimum period of three years. A security deposit equivalent to 5% of Basic Pay and DA will be deducted monthly and refunded upon successful completion of the bond period.

Knowledge of Bengali language is mandatory for the Safety discipline posts. Posting locations may include Kolkata, Ranchi, Vizag, Delhi and other project locations of GRSE.
