Educational Qualifications

Senior AI/ML Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related quantitative field from a recognized university.
• Master’s degree (M.Tech/MS) or PhD in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or related field is highly desirable.
• Candidates with Bachelor’s degree and significant research experience may also be considered.
• Strong foundation in linear algebra, calculus, probability theory, statistics, and optimization theory is essential.

Senior MLOps Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field.
• Master’s degree (M.Tech/MS) in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science or related field is desirable.
• Professional certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and Kubernetes certifications such as CKA/CKAD are desirable.

Experience Requirements

Senior AI/ML Engineer

• Minimum 5–9 years of research and development experience in applied machine learning.
• Experience in designing and training neural network models.
• Experience in domains such as Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Speech Recognition, Recommendation Systems, or Reinforcement Learning.
• First-author publications in Tier-1 machine learning conferences or journals are preferred.

Senior MLOps Engineer

• Minimum 5–9 years of experience in ML infrastructure engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in large-scale model deployment and MLOps.
• Experience with on-premise GPU clusters and cloud ML platforms.

Selection Process

• Applications will be screened based on qualifications, age, and relevant experience.
• NeGD may set higher qualification and experience criteria for screening.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview.
• NeGD reserves the right not to select any candidate without assigning any reason.

General Conditions

• Candidates working in Central Government, State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, or Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel or submit a No Objection Certificate.
• The positions are purely temporary and project based.
• Selected candidates will not have any claim for permanent appointment in NeGD/DIC.
• NeGD reserves the right to fill all or none of the advertised positions.
• Appointments may be terminated with one month notice or payment of one month salary in lieu of notice.
• The designation of selected candidates will be mapped as per the designation policy of NeGD.
