Eligibility Criteria

1. Junior Office Assistant (JOA)

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
  • Typing Speed: 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer (≈ 10,500 KDPH / 9,000 KDPH).
  • Age Limit: 32 years (as on 30 November 2025).

2. Office Assistant (OA) / Data Entry Operator (DEO)

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with at least two years of relevant experience in Level-2 (7th CPC) post in Central/State Government/University/R&D Institution/Autonomous Body/PSU.
  • Typing Speed: 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer.
  • Age Limit: 35 years (as on 30 November 2025).

Reservation Details

Reservation benefits are provided in accordance with the Government of NCT of Delhi rules for SC, ST, OBC (Delhi), EWS and PwBD categories.
  • SC/ST candidates from other States/UTs are also eligible for reservation as per Delhi High Court judgment dated 12 September 2012 in Deepak Kumar vs District & Sessions Judge, Delhi.
  • OBC reservation is applicable only for candidates belonging to OBC (Delhi) category notified by GNCTD.
  • OBC (Delhi) candidates must possess a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued on or after 01 April 2025 but before the closing date of application.
  • OBC (Delhi) candidates from Creamy Layer are treated as Un-Reserved (UR) and must apply accordingly.
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates must upload a valid Income & Asset certificate issued on or after 01 April 2025.
  • PwBD candidates are eligible for age relaxation even if the post is not reserved, provided it is identified suitable for them.
  • All reservations are subject to government policy revisions and court orders applicable at the time of recruitment.

Application fee must be paid online only. No other payment mode will be accepted.

Candidates must take a print-out of the submitted online application form and keep it for document verification prior to the Skill Test.

Selection Process

1. Written Test / Computer Based Test (CBT)

  • Duration – 2 hours (200 questions, 200 marks).
  • Question type – Objective (MCQ) in English language only.
  • Negative Marking – 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Syllabus includes General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, and English Language & Comprehension.
  • Minimum qualifying marks: General/EWS 40%, OBC 35%, SC/ST/PwBD 30%.

2. Skill Test

  • Candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks in the Written Test/CBT will be called for a Skill Test.
  • The Skill Test will be of qualifying nature only.
  • Separate Written and Skill Tests will be conducted for each post.

3. Final Merit List

  • Final merit will be prepared based on marks obtained in the Written Test/CBT.
  • If two or more candidates obtain equal marks, the older candidate in age will be given preference.

Application Process and Instructions

Candidates must apply online only through the DTU website. No offline applications will be accepted.
  1. Visit the official DTU website (www.dtu.ac.in).
  2. Online application window: 10 November 2025 to 30 November 2025.
  3. Fill in all required fields carefully; incomplete forms will be rejected.
  4. Upload self-attested copies of educational qualifications, experience, caste/category, and other certificates in PDF format.
  5. Pay the examination fee using the online payment gateway provided.
  6. Take a print-out of the application for document verification before the Skill Test.
  7. Use a valid personal E-mail ID and mobile number for all communications; DTU will not be responsible for undelivered messages or e-mails.
  8. Admit Cards, Exam notices and updates will be available on the official website and sent via E-mail/SMS.
  9. Applications from Govt./Autonomous/University employees must be submitted through proper channel at the time of document verification.

The University reserves the right to cancel, modify, or change any part of the recruitment process at any time due to administrative reasons.

General Instructions and Important Notes

  • All appointments under direct recruitment shall be made on a temporary basis but are likely to continue.
  • Examination centers will be located in Delhi/NCR only.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the examination or skill test.
  • Candidates must bring a printed E-Admit Card and a valid photo ID (Voter ID, Driving License, Aadhaar, Passport or PAN) to the exam center.
  • Entry gates will close 30 minutes before the exam start time; late entry will not be permitted.
  • Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, calculators, Bluetooth devices, smart watches, and metallic items are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
  • Scribe facility is available for eligible PwBD candidates as per Delhi Government norms; extra time per hour will be allowed accordingly.
  • If more than one application is submitted for the same post, the last submitted application with fee will be considered.
  • In case of any dispute, the jurisdiction shall be courts/tribunals of Delhi only.
  • The University will not be responsible for any technical issues or late submissions due to heavy traffic on the website.
