Application Fees

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a personal interview conducted by a Selection Committee constituted by the Competent Authority as per CSIR Service Rules, 2025.

Note: Mere fulfillment of essential qualifications does not guarantee a call for the interview. Applications will be screened and shortlisted by a Screening Committee using their own criteria.

Application Process

1. Apply online only through the official CSIR recruitment website: https://recruitment.csir.res.in
2. Follow the steps:
   • Online Registration
   • Fee Submission (if applicable)
   • Final Submission of Online Application
3. Upload recent passport size color photograph and signature (max 50 KB each), along with relevant certificates (max 5 MB)
4. Once submitted, application cannot be withdrawn and fee is non-refundable
5. For candidates with CGPA/SGPA/OGPA/DGPA/CPI grades, upload the conversion formula issued by the Board/University
6. Print the application form after submission, attach self-attested copies of documents (educational certificates, age proof, caste certificate if applicable, experience certificates) and keep ready for verification when required
7. No request for change/correction in application form will be entertained after submission
8. Ensure valid and active email ID and mobile number for communication
9. Misuse or fabrication of information will invite legal action under cyber law/IT Act
10. Regularly check the official website for addenda, corrigenda or updates; no individual communication will be sent
11. Declare if any blood/close relatives are working in CSIR or any National Labs/Institutes of CSIR

Salary and Benefits

• Basic pay as per Pay Matrix Level-12 (₹78,800 – ₹2,09,200) plus allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), etc. as admissible to Central Government employees at place of posting
• Accommodation provided subject to availability as per CSIR Residence Allotment Rules. If accommodation is provided, HRA will not be paid
• Additional benefits include Leave Travel Concession, reimbursement of medical expenses, children’s education allowances as per CSIR / Government of India rules
• Selected candidates will be governed by the National Pension System (NPS) or extant pension scheme based on defined contributions adopted by CSIR
• Service conditions are governed by Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964; Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965; Fundamental and Supplementary Rules by Government of India as applicable
