Vacancy & Salary Structure

This recruitment offers a performance-linked remuneration structure divided into two categories: Category A and Category B, based on the number of BC agents assigned.

The variable component is based on the performance and scoring of BC Agents under the supervisor, as per internal evaluation parameters.

Eligibility Criteria

For Retired Bank Employees

  • Retired officers (up to Senior Manager rank) from any bank including PSU, RRB, Private or Co-operative Banks.
  • Retired clerks of Central Bank of India must have passed JAIIB with a good track record.
  • Minimum 3 years of rural banking experience is mandatory.
  • Maximum entry age: 64 years; maximum continuation age: 65 years.

For Young Candidates

  • Minimum qualification: Graduation with computer knowledge (MS Office, Email, Internet).
  • Preferred qualifications: M.Sc (IT), BE (IT), MCA, MBA.
  • Age requirement: 21–45 years at the time of appointment.
  • Maximum continuation age: 60 years.

Geographical Eligibility

  • Candidates must be selected from the same district where they will be assigned to work.
  • If suitable candidates are unavailable, selection may be extended to adjoining districts.
  • Candidate must be proficient in the local language (reading and writing).
  • Candidate must reside near the nodal branch within the assigned district.

Application Process

The application must be submitted offline using the prescribed Annexure-I form. Candidates should submit their completed application along with all required self-attested documents to the Regional Manager of the concerned region of Central Bank of India.

Selection Process

Contract Duration & Renewal

The contract will be initially for 12 months. Renewal will depend on the satisfactory performance review conducted annually by the Regional Head and Zonal Office.

Either party may terminate the contract by giving 30 days’ notice. In cases of misconduct, poor performance, or fraudulent activities, termination may occur immediately without notice.

Age Limit

  • Retired Staff: Entry up to 64 years; continuation up to 65 years.
  • Young Candidates: Age 21–45 years; continuation up to 60 years.

Key Responsibilities

BC Supervisors will be responsible for monitoring and supporting BC Agents across the assigned district. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring BC activities daily through dashboards, telephonic calls, and field visits.
  • Ensuring availability of banking services in villages, SSAs, and non-SSA locations.
  • Handling grievances of customers and BCs and reporting to the link branch and regional office.
  • Encouraging financial inclusion by conducting awareness programs in villages.
  • Ensuring BC agents follow bank guidelines, issue system-generated slips, and remain active.
  • Promoting cross-selling of financial products.
  • Submitting monthly reports on activities, BC performance, and outreach efforts.

IIBF BC Certification Requirement

BC Supervisors must obtain the IIBF BC Certification within 3 months of joining. Penalties apply for non-compliance, and the contract may not be renewed if the certification is not completed within 12 months. Retired bank staff with JAIIB/CAIIB are exempt.
