Salary and Employment Type

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary as per institute rules, depending upon qualifications and experience:

• Base Salary: ₹25,000/- per month
• HRA: 27% HRA (as per DST OM dated 10.07.2020)
• Employment Type: Contract (for one year or duration of the project, whichever is shorter)

Eligibility and Educational Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Project Associate-I position:

• B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biotechnology with a good academic record.
• Mandatory 6-month research training during Master’s degree in a recognized research laboratory.
• Hands-on experience in techniques including:
  • Protein extraction and Western Blotting
  • RNA isolation from cells and tumour samples
  • DNA/RNA isolation
  • cDNA synthesis
  • Quantitative real-time PCR
  • Basic cell culture techniques
• Ability to carry out the above techniques independently.

Job Description

The project involves cancer cell biology. The candidate should have direct hands-on experience with protein and nucleic acid extraction, molecular biology techniques, and cell culture methodologies. Independence in executing these tasks is required.

Selection Process
