Post Details

Training: Engineering Assistant Trainees (EAT) will undergo training for six months and will receive a stipend of ₹24,000 per month. Upon successful completion of training and gradation test, they will be placed in the regular pay scale.

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.
• Engineering Assistant (Trainee): Three-year Diploma in relevant engineering discipline from a recognized institution with minimum 60% marks for General/OBC/EWS and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
• Technician ‘C’: SSLC + ITI in relevant trade with one-year apprenticeship and National Apprenticeship Certificate or SSLC + three-year National Apprenticeship Certificate Course. Minimum 60% marks for General/OBC/EWS and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD.
• Experience: Not required.
• Maharashtra State Employment Exchange Registration: Mandatory and must be valid as on 16.11.2025.

Selection Process

1. Computer Based Test (CBT): Total 150 marks divided into two parts:
   • Part I: General Aptitude (50 marks) — logical reasoning, analytical ability, numeracy, data interpretation, and general knowledge.
   • Part II: Technical Aptitude (100 marks) — subject-specific questions based on the respective discipline/trade.

   Qualifying Marks: General/OBC/EWS: 35% each section; SC/ST/PwBD: 30% each section.

2. Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted from CBT will be called for verification of original documents.
3. Medical Examination: Candidates must be found medically fit as per BEL standards. Candidates with colour blindness will be found unfit.

Pay and Allowances

In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Perquisites at 30% on annual basic pay, reimbursement of medical expenses, Group Insurance, Provident Fund, Pension, and Gratuity as per company rules.

• UR / OBC (NCL) / EWS: ₹500 + 18% GST (Total ₹590)
• SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-servicemen: Exempted
• Payment Mode: Online via SBI Collect

Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

General Instructions

• Only online applications will be accepted. No paper/manual application will be entertained.
• Candidates must have a valid email ID and active Maharashtra Employment Exchange registration.
• Admit cards for CBT will be available only on the BEL website. No hard copies or emails will be sent.
• Outstation SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen candidates attending CBT will be reimbursed sleeper class train fare from the correspondence address.
• Local travel costs will not be reimbursed.
• Only latest valid completed application will be considered; others will be rejected.
• Use of mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, calculators, or any electronic device inside the examination hall is strictly prohibited.
• BEL does not demand any fee or deposit other than the official application fee. Beware of fraudulent communications.
• All disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of courts at Pune/Navi Mumbai.
