Eligibility Criteria

For Retired Bank Employees:

  • Retired Officers (including voluntarily retired) of any bank up to the rank of Chief Manager / equivalent.
  • Retired clerks of Bank of Baroda with JAIIB qualification and good track record.
  • Minimum 3 years of rural banking experience.
  • Maximum age for continuation: 65 years.

For Other Candidates:

  • Graduate with computer knowledge (MS Office, Email, Internet).
  • Preference will be given to candidates with M.Sc (IT), BE (IT), MCA, MBA.
  • Age between 21–45 years at the time of appointment.
  • Maximum age for continuation: 65 years.

Other Conditions:

  • Candidate should be from the same district (or adjoining district if suitable candidate is unavailable).
  • Proficiency in local language and dialect (reading and writing) is mandatory.
  • Police verification is compulsory before assignment of duty.
  • Candidate should reside near the Regional Office/Link Branch (not outside the district).

  • For new candidates: 21–45 years
  • Maximum continuation age: 65 years

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted through an interview by a committee headed by the Regional Head. The committee will include:

The Regional Head will approve the appointment and contract renewals based on committee recommendations. Performance reviews will be conducted annually and after three years for renewal.

Training & Certification

Selected candidates must obtain IIBF – BC Certification within 2 months of joining. The Bank will reimburse the registration fee once after course completion.

  • If not completed by 3–6 months: ₹1,000 will be deducted monthly from the fixed component.
  • If not completed by 7–12 months: ₹2,000 will be deducted monthly from the fixed component.
  • After 12 months, the contract will not be renewed.
  • Retired Bank staff with JAIIB/CAIIB are exempt.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitor BC agents and ensure availability of banking services in villages and urban areas.
  • Conduct customer grievance redressal and submit feedback to Regional Office.
  • Organize financial literacy sessions and meetings in villages.
  • Prevent offline transactions and monitor BC operations as per norms.
  • Encourage cross-selling of bank and third-party products.
  • Assist in loan recovery and ensure proper functioning of BC agents.
  • Act as brand ambassadors of the Bank, wearing badges and using official stationary.
