Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Graduate degree from a recognized university.
• Preference for post-graduates in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Sociology, Psychology, or Social Work.
• Must be computer literate.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience as a bank officer in any nationalized bank / RRB / private bank.
• OR minimum 3 years experience as RSETI Director / Faculty.
• OR minimum 5 years experience in related fields such as financial literacy, rural development, Business Correspondent network, NBFC/financial institutions, or similar roles.

Other Requirements

• Should preferably be a resident of the same district or state where the FLC Centre is located.
• Should have a passion for teaching and community service.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 65 years (subject to good health)

Salary & Remuneration

Selection Process

• Shortlisting based on eligibility criteria.
• Interview by a panel that may include:
  • Lead District Manager (LDM)
  • DDM of NABARD
  • SC/ST representative (if applicable)
  • Regional Manager / Rural Banking Officer
• Final selection by Regional/Zonal Manager.

• Download and fill the application form (Annexure–III) as provided in the notification.
• Attach all required educational documents, experience certificates, and ID proof.
• Only hard copy applications will be accepted.
• Envelope should be clearly marked: “Application for the post of Financial Literacy Counsellor on Contractual Basis”
• Send the application to the Regional Office postal address mentioned in the notification.

Roles and Responsibilities

The FLC Counsellor must perform the duties below as per RBI and Bank of Baroda guidelines:

• Conduct daily activities of Financial Literacy Centres.
• Guide and counsel individuals regarding financial literacy, debt management, and banking awareness.
• Conduct financial literacy camps, including digital banking awareness programs.
• Assist distressed borrowers and guide them regarding proper financial behaviour.
• Promote safe banking practices (not product selling).
• Maintain complete records, registers, and reports.
• Submit monthly activity reports to the Reporting Authority.
