Employment Type and Duration

This recruitment is on a contractual basis for an initial period of 36 months (3 years). The engagement will be subject to annual performance review and can be renewed based on satisfactory performance and achievement of assigned targets.

Remuneration and Benefits

Component Amount (₹) Details
Fixed Component 15,000 Monthly fixed remuneration subject to performance review.
Variable Component 10,000 Performance-based variable pay dependent on achievement of business targets and monitoring criteria.
Total Monthly Pay Up to 25,000 Including fixed and variable components.
Leave Entitlement 2.5 days per month Calculated for each completed month of service, with restrictions on accumulation beyond three consecutive days without prior approval.

Eligibility Criteria

For Retired Bank Employees
  • Retired officers from PSU Banks (Scale I to III), RRBs, or Private Banks are eligible.
  • Should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in rural banking.
  • Maximum age limit at the time of appointment: 65 years.
For Young Candidates
  • Minimum qualification: Graduate with computer knowledge (MS Office, email, internet).
  • Preferred qualification: M.Sc. (IT) / BE / MCA / MBA.
  • Age range: 21–45 years at the time of appointment.
  • Should be a resident of the same or adjoining district and fluent in the local language (Kannada).

Geographical and Other Conditions

  • Candidates must reside in or near the operational area.
  • Valid driving license and ownership of a vehicle are preferred for fieldwork.
  • Must possess good communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
  • Preference for candidates with prior experience in banks, financial institutions, or NGOs engaged in financial inclusion.

Selection and Performance Review

  • Selection will be made through interview by the Regional Head.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on eligibility and experience.
  • Annual performance review will determine continuation or termination of contract.

Roles and Responsibilities of BC Supervisor

  1. Monitor BC agent operations and ensure compliance with procedures.
  2. Ensure banking services availability in identified villages and SSAs.
  3. Educate BCs on their responsibilities and ensure proper conduct.
  4. Resolve grievances of customers and BCs; forward reports to the Regional Office.
  5. Conduct regular meetings with BCs and community members to promote awareness.
  6. Visit each BC point at least once a month and verify transactions.
  7. Assist in bank dues recovery and encourage digital banking adoption.
  8. Submit monthly reports and feedback to the Regional Office.

IBF BC Certification

  • BC Supervisors must obtain IBF BC Certification within:
    • 6 months (for retired bank employees)
    • 12 months (for young candidates)
  • Reimbursement of certification cost will be provided as per bank policy.

Leave and Termination Policy

  • 2.5 days of leave per month of completed service.
  • Not more than 3 consecutive days leave without prior approval.
  • Public holidays are not counted as leave.
  • Extraordinary or medical leave may be approved by the Regional Head under special cases.
  • Engagement may be terminated for misconduct, fraud, or poor performance.
  • All disputes are subject to jurisdiction of Udupi courts.
