Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification: Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Agricultural Sciences including relevant basic sciences with a minimum of eight years’ experience in the relevant subject as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or equivalent in Pay Band-3 ₹15,600–39,100 with Grade Pay ₹5,400/6,000/7,000/8,000 or higher. The experience should include contributions in research/teaching/extension as evidenced by published work and impact.

Alternative Qualification: Doctoral degree in Agricultural Sciences including relevant basic sciences with at least eight years of high-quality post-doctoral research experience, evidenced by at least six publications in journals with NAAS rating 7.5 or above.

Desirable: Experience in frontline extension, coordination, and monitoring of extension programmes. For the post at KVK Chinyalisaur (Uttarkashi), experience of eight years in hilly areas and specialization in implementing horticultural extension programmes in hilly regions is desirable.

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 47 years as on 22 January 2026
  • Relaxation: No upper age limit for ICAR employees

Reservation Details

No category-wise breakup has been mentioned in the notification. However, SC/ST/Divyang (PwD) and women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
