'Women’s Reservation Bill' could not be passed in Lok Sabha
According to report, the Constitution Amendment Bill related to women’s reservation could not be passed in the Lok Sabha. After nearly 21 hours of discussion, voting took place, but the govt failed to secure the required two-thirds majority. A total of 528 votes were cast, with 298 in favor and 230 against, while 352 votes were needed.
