नशे को जड़ से उखाड़ फेंकने के लिए उत्तरकाशी पुलिस द्वारा अभी तक ग्रामीणों द्वारा पैदा की गयी करीब 1300 नाली (26 हेक्टेयर) भू-भाग पर अवैध भांग व अफीम की खेती को नष्ट किया जा चुका है, जिसमें नशीले पदार्थों की अवैध खेती करने वाले 22 भू-स्वामियों के विरुद्ध एफआईआर दर्ज की गयी है।

In order to uproot the drug addiction, Uttarkashi Police has so far destroyed illegal cannabis and opium cultivation on about 1300 nali (26 hectares) of land created by the villagers, in which the people involved in illegal cultivation of narcotics have been arrested. FIR has been registered against 22 landowners.
