टनकपुर- शारदा घाट पर स्नान करने के दौरान 65 वर्षीय वृद्ध को अचानक नदी के तेज़ बहाव में डूबते व बहते देख आस-पास मौजूद लोगों ने मदद की गुहार सुनने पर उत्तराखण्ड पुलिस जल पुलिस गोताखोर रविंद्र कुमार पहलवान ने नदी में छलांग लगाकर उन्हें सुरक्षित बाहर निकाला।
