खबरों के अनुसार, ब्यूरो ऑफ इंडियन स्टैंडर्ड्स (बीआईएस) द्वारा जारी नए भूकंपीय मानचित्र में पूरे उत्तराखंड को सबसे अधिक भूकंप जोखिम वाले जोन-6 में शामिल किया गया है। अब पहाड़ से लेकर मैदानी इलाकों तक पूरे राज्य में इमारतों और इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर के लिए एक जैसे सख्त भूकंपरोधी मानक लागू करने होंगे।

According to reports, in the new seismic map released by the BIS, the entire state of Uttarakhand has been placed in the highest earthquake risk Zone-6. Now, from the hill regions to the plains, uniform and strict earthquake-resistant standards will have to be applied to all buildings and infrastructure across the state.
