Union Health Ministry issues advisory on cough and cold medicines

The Union Health Ministry has clarified that children under the age of 2 should not be given cough and cold medicines. The ministry stated that such medicines are generally not recommended for children under 5 years of age, and for older children, they should only be administered with a doctor’s advice and under strict supervision.
