उत्तराखंड में 11 दिन बाद ईगास के रूप में भी दिवाली का पर्व मनाया जाता है, जिसके पीछे कई सारी ऐतिहासिक व धार्मिक मान्यताएं तथा जानकारियां छिपी हुई है। इस वर्ष ईगास बग्वाल का त्यौहार आगामी 12 नवंबर को मनाया जाएगा। इस दिन लोग पारंपरिक रीति रिवाज के साथ पशुओं की पूजा करते हैं तथा उन्हें पौष्टिक आहार खिलाते हैं।
