चमोली में पंचपुलिया कर्णप्रयाग के पास पहाड़ी से भारी भरकम बोल्डर सड़क पर आने के कारण बद्रीनाथ राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग अवरुद्ध हो गया था। इसे देख हेड कांस्टेबल भगत लाल ने स्वंय ही भारी भरकम बोल्डर को घन की मदद से तोड़कर पत्थरों को हटाकर बाधित सड़क मार्ग को खुलवाकर यातायात सुचारु किया।

The Badrinath National Highway was blocked due to a huge boulder falling on the road from the hill near Panchpulia Karnaprayag in Chamoli. Seeing this, Head Constable Bhagat Lal himself broke the huge boulder with the help of a hammer and removed the stones and opened the blocked road and restored traffic.

The road was made smooth by removing the boulder that fell from the hill
