The portals of Shri Yamunotri Dham will open on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya on April 22 at 12:41 pm. Last day, on Yamuna Jayanti, the date and time of opening of the doors were decided after formal worship and almanac calculation at Khushimath (Kharsali), the winter stay of Maa Yamuna. Kirteshwar Uniyal, former secretary of the committee, told that the festive doli of Maa Yamuna ji along with brother Shri Someshwar Devta ji will reach the Yamunotri temple complex on April 22 from Khushimath at 8:25 am.
