Tehri resident dies in China before returning home, village in mourning

Pramod Chamoli, a 31-year-old from Dobara village in Tehri, died under suspicious circumstances in China. He had gone there in 2023 for hotel work and was soon to return home when his family was informed on 8 November that he had died of a heart attack. His family has urged the government to bring his body back and ensure justice.
