भगवानपुर की विधानसभा सीट से 2017 में भाजपा के टिकट पर चुनाव लड़े सुबोध राकेश जो की 2022 में बसपा से चुनाव लड़े थे वह अब भाजपा में शामिल हो गए हैं। भाजपा के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष महेंद्र भट्ट ने कहा कि सुबोध राकेश का बड़ा जन आधार है और भारतीय जनता पार्टी में उनके शामिल होने से लोकसभा चुनाव में भाजपा के वोट प्रतिशत में और इजाफा होगा।
