सोमवार को सड़क सुरक्षा सप्ताह के तहत मुनिकीरेती, ऋषिकेश एवं हरिद्वार में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में श्री अशोक कुमार आईपीएस, डीजीपी महोदय ने यातायात नियमों के प्रति छात्र-छात्राओं और स्थानीय लोगों को जागरूक किया। उन्होंने कहा कि नियमों की अनदेखी से देश में सड़क हादसों की संख्या बढ़ रही है। दुर्घटनाओं में कमी लाने का फर्ज सिर्फ पुलिस का ही नहीं, बल्कि आम नागरिकों की भी जिम्मेदारी है।

Mr. Ashok Kumar IPS, DGP made students and local people aware of traffic rules in a program organized in Munikireti, Rishikesh, and Haridwar on Monday under Road Safety Week. He said that the number of road accidents in the country is increasing due to ignorance of the rules. It is not only the duty of the police to reduce accidents, but it is also the responsibility of the common citizens.
