अल्मोड़ा जिले के स्याल्दे में चौकोट संघर्ष सेवा समिति ने अपनी मांगों को लेकर अनशन की राह पकड़ी है। समिति स्याल्दे अतिरिक्त स्वास्थ्य केंद्र को सीएचसी का दर्जा देने, चौकोट में पॉलिटेक्निक खोलने, आईटीआई में नए ट्रेड शुरू करने जैसी कई बुनियादी सुविधाओं की मांग कर रही है।

In Syalde, Almora district, the Chaukot Sangharsh Seva Samiti has launched a strike to press for its demands. The committee is seeking several basic facilities, including upgrading the Syalde Additional Health Center to a Community Health Center (CHC), opening a polytechnic in Chaukot, and introducing new trades in the local ITI.
