Strict ban on fast food at weddings in several Jaunsar-Bawar villages

Twenty-five villages in the Jaunsar-Bawar region have taken a major decision to completely ban alcohol and fast food at weddings. Now, serving items like golgappa, chowmein, momos, and giving expensive gifts at marriages will attract a fine of ₹1 lakh. Locals have welcomed this move, calling it a step that promotes social equality.
