राज्य सरकार ने केंद्र से अनुरोध किया है कि मानसून आपदा में लापता हुए 67 लोगों को मृत घोषित करने की अनुमति दी जाए। सामान्यतः सात साल बाद ऐसा किया जाता है, लेकिन आपदा की गंभीरता को देखते हुए सरकार ने मृत्यु प्रमाण पत्र जारी करने की मांग की है ताकि पीड़ित परिवारों को बीमा और संपत्ति से जुड़ी राहत मिल सके।

The state government has requested the Centre’s permission to declare 67 people missing in the monsoon disaster as deceased. Normally, such declarations are made after seven years, but considering the severity of the calamity, the government has sought immediate issuance of death certificates to help affected families.
