हरिद्वार के मनसा देवी मंदिर में रविवार सुबह भगदड़ मचने से 8 श्रद्धालुओं की मौत हो गई और कई घायल हो गए। यह हादसा सीढ़ियों पर करंट फैलने की अफवाह से हुआ। इसी बीच मुख्यमंत्री ने मृतकों के परिजनों को ₹2 लाख और घायलों को ₹50 हजार मुआवजा देने की घोषणा की, जबकि मंदिर ट्रस्ट ने अतिरिक्त सहायता का ऐलान किया है।
