24 मार्च को 112 पर पुलिस को सूचना प्राप्त हूई कि हवालबाग ब्लॉक अल्मोड़ा में कालीमठ से आगे घनेली के पास बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति सड़क से नीचे खाई में गिरकर घायल अवस्था में पड़ा है। सूचना पर फायर यूनिट अल्मोड़ा के जवानों द्वारा त्वरित कार्यवाही करते हुए, बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति को खाई से रेस्क्यू कर 108 सेवा के माध्यम से अस्पताल पहुँचाया गया।
