Snowfall and hailstorm alert by Meteorological Department

The temperature has become quite cold in the state due to rain for several days. Snowfall is still continuing in the hilly areas, due to which the chill has increased significantly. There has been heavy snowfall in Chamoli district, due to which the highway has been closed for two days due to snowfall on the Gopeshwar-Chopta-Ukhimath highway. According to the information released by the Meteorological Department, the weather pattern is likely to change for the next two days.
