Shutdown continues in the U.S., economy severely impacted

The historic U.S. government shutdown, now in its 39th day, still shows no signs of ending. It has severely impacted the American economy, especially the aviation sector. Due to staff shortages, flight operations have been reduced at 40 major airports, with over 1,000 flights canceled and more than 5,000 delayed.
