रुद्रपुर में देर रात हुई तेज बारिश के चलते कल्याणी नदी का जलस्तर बढ़ गया, जिसके कारण आसपास के निचले इलाकों में जलभराव हो गया और लोगों को भारी दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। फिलहाल, बचाव के लिए एसडीआरएफ तथा नगर निगम की टीमें मौके पर पहुंचकर लगातार कार्य कर रही हैं।
