उत्तराखंड के चमोली जनपद के सेरा मालकोटी गांव में आज भी सड़क नहीं पहुंची है, जिससे ग्रामीणों को 3 से 5 किमी की दुर्गम चढ़ाई तय कर सड़क तक जाना पड़ता है और बीमारों को अस्पताल पहुंचाना बेहद मुश्किल होता है। इसी के साथ, विधायक बद्रीनाथ लखपत बुटोला ने जल्द सड़क निर्माण का आश्वासन दिया है।
