Samples are going for blood to check glanders in horses and mules

Due to the Char Dham Yatra, blood samples are being taken by all the veterinary officers working in Animal Husbandry Department, Uttarkashi district to check for glanders in horses and mules. Only those horse-mules will be allowed on the Yatra route whose blood test report will be found negative for Glanders. Along with this, insurance of horses and mules used on the Yatra route is mandatory.
