ठगों के जाल में खुद पुलिस अधिकारी कर्मचारी फंस रहे हैं। चंपावत के कोतवाली प्रभारी से 2 लाख 59 हजार रूपये की ठगी को अंजाम दिया गया। आरोपितों ने फर्जी पावर ऑफ अटार्नी दिखाकर किसी और की जमीन का सौदा कर दिया था। देहरादून शहर कोतवाली पुलिस ने आरोपित, उसकी पत्नी और बेटे के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज कर दिया है।
