खबर के अनुसार, चमोली के देवाल ब्लॉक के एठा गांव में स्वीकृत 8 किमी सड़क अब तक नहीं बन पाई है। सड़क न होने से ग्रामीणों को मरीजों को कंधे पर उठाकर कई किलोमीटर दूर अस्पताल ले जाना पड़ रहा है। ताजा मामले में परिजन मरीज को 5 किमी पैदल ले गए, जिसे बाद में हायर सेंटर रेफर किया गया।

According to reports, the approved 8 km road in Etha village of Dewal block in Chamoli has still not been built. Due to the lack of a road, villagers are forced to carry patients on their shoulders for several kilometres to reach the hospital. In the latest case, a patient was taken 5 km on foot and later referred to a higher centre.
