Rivers swell in several states due to heavy rains, Department issues alert

The weather impact remains severe across the country, with heavy rains causing rivers to swell and flood-like situations in several districts of Bihar, UP, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. The IMD has issued an orange alert for 15 districts, a yellow alert for several others, and warned of possible lightning strikes in 57 districts.
