Relief and rescue work is being carried out continuously by Tehri Police in the disaster area
The rescue and relief work was started by the police in different villages of the Kumalda region in the morning after the Banda river was flooded due to heavy rains. As soon as the information about the flood was received, Senior Superintendent of Police Tehri Garhwal himself reached the spot early in the morning and toured the area on foot and while talking to the villagers, boosting the morale of the police personnel engaged in relief and rescue work, they were assured of all possible help.
