Red alert for heavy rain in Uttarakhand even today

Red alert for heavy rain has been issued in Uttarakhand today. Due to the warning of heavy rain, schools will remain closed in eight districts of the state today. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in Kumaon division today as well. The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to stay in open places and avoid going out.
