मुख्य पशु चिकित्साधिकारी, जनपद अल्मोड़ा डॉ उदय शंकर महोदय के दिशा निर्देश के क्रम में सूकरों में अफ्रीकन स्वाइन फीवर की रोकथाम हेतु पशुपालन विभाग, जनपद अल्मोड़ा के सौजन्य से पशु चिकित्साधिकारियों के एक दल द्वारा सूकर बाहुल्य क्षेत्रों में स्थलीय निरीक्षण कर जन जागरूकता अभियान चलाया गया। पशु चिकित्साधिकारी, सचल डॉ. चित्रा जोशी द्वारा अफ्रीकन स्वाइन फीवर से बचाव व उपचार हेतु सुकरों को दवा वितरित की गई।

According to the guidelines of Chief Veterinary Officer, District Almora, Dr. Uday Shankar, for the prevention of African Swine Fever in boars, a team of veterinary officers, courtesy of the Animal Husbandry Department, District Almora, conducted a public awareness campaign by conducting an on-site inspection in boar-dominated areas.  Medicines were distributed to the pigs for prevention and treatment of African Swine Fever by Veterinary Officer, Sachal Dr. Chitra Joshi.
