Pollution caused by firecrackers in the capital Dehradun broke last year's record
This time the pollution caused by Diwali firecrackers in the capital Dehradun has broken last year's record also. According to media reports, AQI 132 was recorded in Dehradun on Saturday night, just before Diwali. On Diwali night i.e. on Sunday, the smoke from firecrackers crossed AQI 400. AQI has increased by 268 in 24 hours. Let us tell you that Smart City has installed 50 digital screens in the city which provide information about air quality index through automatic devices.
