तहसीलदार को सूचना मिली थी कि रूड़की के बुग्गावाला क्षेत्र के मजहिदपुर सतीवाला में अवैध खनन हो रहा है। जानकारी मिलने के बाद वह अपने प्रशासन टीम के साथ मौके पर पहुंचे थे। प्रशासन की सक्रियता के चलते आरोपित अपने मंसूबे में कामयाब नहीं हो सके। घटना के बाद आरोपित ट्रैक्टर लेकर वहां से फरार हो गए।
