Uttarakhand has imposed a ban on the Kedarnath Yatra due to heavy rainfall and a red alert, yet a large number of pilgrims reached Sonprayag. When they tried to break through the barricades and move ahead, the police dispersed the crowd to ensure the safety of the pilgrims in view of the bad weather and recent accidents.
