जनपद अल्मोड़ा- शैल बैंड के पास जंगल में आग लग गयी थी। सूचना पर अल्मोड़ा फायर यूनिट टीम तत्काल घटनास्थल पहुंची और शैल बैंड व कालीमठ के पास जंगल में लगी आग को एमएफई से पंपिंग कर एक होज रील फैलाकर बुझाया गया, जिसे आबादी क्षेत्र की ओर बढ़ने से रोका गया।

जनपद रुद्रप्रयाग के चोपता-देवरियाताल ट्रेक पर जंगल में 03 ट्रेकर्स फंस गये थे। सूचना पर एसडीआरएफ टीम ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए 08 किमी पैदल सर्च ऑपरेशन चलाया। एक घायल ट्रैकर को सफलतापूर्वक रेस्क्यू कर मुख्य मार्ग तक पहुँचाया गया। अन्य 02 ट्रेकर्स को डीडीआरएफ और वन विभाग की टीम की सहायता से सुरक्षित नीचे लाया गया।
