हरियाणा के हिसार से पिथौरागढ़ जा रही कार को ककरालीगेट में चैकिंग के लिए रोका गया तो कार से साढ़े छह लाख रूपये बरामद हुए। पुलिस का कहना है कि वाहन सवार रूपयों से संबंधित कोई दस्तावेज नहीं दिखा सके। उधर बनबसा पुलिस चाॅकी पर चैकिंग के दौरान पुलिस ने एक कार को रोका और कार में से डेढ़ लाख रूपये बरामद किये। ये रूपयों से संबंधित दस्तावेजों को नहीं दिखा सके। पुलिस की ओर से जब्त रूपयों को चंपावत कोषागार में रखा जायेगा।

नगर पालिका अध्यक्ष पौड़ी यशपाल बेनाम ने कहा कि अगर चाॅबट्टाखाल के वर्तमान विधायक और कैबिनेट मंत्री सतपाल महाराज प्रदेश की किसी अन्य सीट से चुनाव लड़ने का मन बनाते हैं तो वे चाॅबट्टाखाल विधानसभा सीट से भाजपा के टिकट से चुनाव लड़ने के लिए तैयार हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि सतपाल महाराज ने चाहा तो वे इस सीट से चुनाव लड़कर और जीतकर यह सीट एक बार फिर से भाजपा की झोली में डाल सकते हैं।

पूरे राज्य में 14 फरवरी को मतदान होने जा रहे हैं। इसके लिए 21 जनवरी से नामांकन की प्रक्रिया शुरू होगी। कोरोना से बचाव के चलते बूथों पर कई बदलाव देखने को मिलेंगे। बूथों पर मतादान कर्मचारी पीपीई किट पहने नजर आएंगे, वोटरों के बीच सामाजिक दूरी बनाए रखने के लिए गोले बनाए जायेंगे। पोलिंग पार्टियों को रवाना करने से पहले सभी की कोरोना जांच की जायेगी।

हल्द्वानी में कांग्रेस नेता यशपाल आर्य ने एक प्रेस कांफ्रेस कर भाजपा एक बुकलेट जारी की है, जिसका नाम है, आमदनी न हुई दोगुनी, दर्द सौ गुना। कांग्रेस नेता यशपाल आर्य ने कहा कि पिछले 5 सालों में किसानों की आमदनी दो गुनी न हुई, केंद्र सरकार ने किसानों की आमदनी को दोगुनी करने का वादा किया था। उन्होंने कहा कि पांच राज्यों में चुनाव के दौरान वोट की चोट ही किसान विरोधी भाजपा सरकार को सच का आईना दिखाएगी और भाजपा की हार ही पांच राज्यों में किसानों की जीत होगी।
