National Public Court was organized in Chamoli district on March 12 in District Judge Court, Gopeshwar, along with five court complexes - Joshimath, Karnprayag, Tharali, Pokhari and Gairsain in the district. 110 cases were settled on the basis of mutual agreement. The cases of 8 affected people of Raini disaster were disposed of and checks of compensation amounting to Rs. 1 crore 12 lakh were distributed. Even before this, compensation amounting to crores of rupees has been given to 111 disaster affected people of Raini village.
