मौसम विभाग के अनुसार एक अगस्त को देहरादून में भारी बारिश हो सकती है। वहीं टिहरी, पौड़ी, हरिद्वार, नैनीताल, चंपावत, यूएस नगर, में भी भारी बारिश का अलर्ट जारी किया गया है। राज्य में दो अगस्त को देहरादून, टिहरी, पौड़ी, हरिद्वार, नैनीताल, चंपावत और यूएस नगर में भारी बारिश हो सकती है। मौसम विभाग ने इसके लिए येलो अलर्ट जारी किया है।

आज सुबह छह बजे के आसपास स्वालां में चल्थी से चंपावत आ रहा एक वाहन खाई में जा गिरा। इस हादसे में 46 वर्षीय चालक जगदीश सिंह की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। जबकि वाहन सवार एक ग्रामीण घायल हो गया। मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस और एसडीआरएफ ने दोनों को खाई से बाहर निकाला। जगदीश बीजेपी के बूथ अध्यक्ष थे। सीएम धामी ने बूथ अध्यक्ष के निधन पर गहरा शोक व्यक्त किया है।

बीते दिन पुलिस उपाधीक्षक महोदय बागेश्वर श्री शिवराज सिहं राणा द्वारा चण्डिका मन्दिर परिसर में मन्दिर कमेटी के साथ संयुक्त रुप से छायादार, फलदार वृक्षो का रोपण किया गया। उक्त कार्यक्रम में पर्यावरण में सुधार सम्बन्धी वार्ता की गयी जिसमें बढते प्रदूषण एवं वृक्षो के कटान पर रोक लगाना आदि विषय में चर्चा की गयी।

गंगोलीहाट विकास खंड के दूरस्थ ग्राम खिरमांडे से एक पशुपालक द्वारा अपनी भैंस के यूटेरीन प्रोलैप्स की सूचना डॉक्टर नवीन आर्या को दी गई। डॉक्टर नवीन द्वारा तुरंत पशुपालक के घर पहुंचकर पीड़ित पशु का सफलतापूर्वक उपचार किया गया। भैंस का तुरंत उपचार किए जाने से भैंस बच गई जिससे पशुपालक की आजीविका बनी रही तथा पशुपालक इससे काफी खुश है।
