New update emerges in the Russia–Ukraine conflict
According to reports, amid hopes of a peace deal in the Russia–Ukraine war, the start of 2026 has been marked by heightened tensions. Russia has claimed that on January 1, 2026, Ukraine carried out a drone attack in the southern Kherson region under Russian control, alleging that 24 people were killed and more than 50 were injured.
