Over 300 apple trees burnt down in Chakrata area

According to report, situation of drought has become severe in Dehradun’s Chakrata area due to a lack of rain/snowfall, leading to a rise in fire incidents. A fire in Ashtat village destroyed more than 300 apple trees belonging to an orchardist, while in the Tyuni area, several trees in another apple orchard also came under the flames.
