Orange alert issued in Uttarakhand for next 48 hours, strong winds and rain likely

The Meteorological Department has predicted strong winds at a speed of 40–50 km/h, along with lightning and rainfall in Uttarakhand over the next 48 hours. An orange alert has been issued for Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Dehradun, Haridwar, Pithoragarh, and Bageshwar districts, while snowfall is likely in higher altitude areas.
